Homes for all California

STRONGER TOGETHER

HFA-CA is made up of 18 local tenant and land justice organizations from Los Angeles, Oakland, San Francisco, Santa Ana, Vallejo, Fresno, Sonoma, and beyond. Together, we represent tenants who are Black, Indigenous, Latine, Khmer-speaking, Chinese, and Filipino — documented and undocumented — working-class renters fighting for dignified homes and livable neighborhoods.

HFA-CA MEMBERS

We aren’t just coordinating — we’re aligning. Our member groups have chosen to align priorities, pool resources, and build something more powerful than any one of us could on our own. This isn't a coalition. It’s a formation for the long haul.

We are proud to be a hub of the Homes For All campaign, part of the Right to the City Alliance, a national formation of community-led groups working to build a world where land and housing are collectively stewarded, not owned by corporations or speculators.

HFA-CA is more than a network. It’s an innovation in how movements can align deeply, build governing power, and fight across regions and sectors for the just future we all deserve.

We organize from a clear theory of change:

We cannot solve the housing crisis without transforming our economy and society. The housing market is broken because it was designed to extract wealth.

Our solution lies not in tweaks — but in transformation.
